The Retirement feature allows organizations to manage employees who are leaving their roles due to retirement in a simple and transparent way.
Purpose
This section ensures that retired employees are properly recorded in the system, making it easy for HR and management to track workforce changes while maintaining accurate records.
How It Works
1. Employee-Initiated Retirement
An employee who is retiring can submit a Retirement request through the portal.
Once the request is reviewed and approved by the administrator or HR, the employee’s profile is automatically moved to the Retirement section.
This ensures that the employee is no longer listed as active but remains in the system for record-keeping.
2. Admin-Initiated Retirement
Administrators can also move an employee to the Retirement section by deactivating them from the Employee list.
This option is useful when retirement is processed directly by HR without requiring a request from the employee.
Benefits
- Streamlined process: Retirement is handled in just a few steps.
- Accurate records: Retired employees are clearly separated from active staff.
- Flexibility: Both employees and administrators can initiate the retirement process.
3. Pre-Retirement Checklist
Before a retirement request is accepted, the system will prompt HR to complete a checklist.
This checklist ensures that all pending items are collected or cleared from the employee, such as:
- Company assets (ID card, laptop, phone, etc.)
- Outstanding reimbursements or financial settlements
- Completion of exit interviews or formalities
- Any Outstanding salaries or loan
Only after the checklist is marked complete can the retirement request be finalized and the employee moved to the Retirement section.
Note: Checklist can be dynamic so any company admin can prepare its own checklist
